How to Apply

All students are required to complete an application to be considered for degree completion or reentry to UC Merced. All interested students should complete the Degree Completion Interest Form and schedule a one-on-one appointment with the our Admission Advisor to receive instructions on steps to apply or view the details below:
 

Were you once an admitted and enrolled student at UC Merced?

To apply for reentry or consideration for Degree Completion Program, all students who once applied, were admitted, and successfully completed one regular term at UC Merced are required to complete UC Merced's Academic Reentry Application Form.

Please note that there is a $80 application fee to be applied to your student account once you are admitted and enrolled into the Degree Completion Program.
 

Reentry Application Filing Periods

While these are UC Merced's semester guidelines, we accept Degree Completion Program applications on a continual basis.

Fall Semester: November 1 to May 1
Spring Semester: May 1 to November 1
Summer Semester: November 1 to February 1

Why apply by the Priority Deadline?

When you apply by the Priority Deadline, your application will be reviewed earlier, you will receive your admission notification earlier, you gain access to priority registration based on your class standing, AND our Degree Completion Program will pay your reentry application fee.

Were you enrolled at any one of the other UC campuses?

If you applied, were admitted, and successfully completed one regular term at one of the other UC campuses (San Diego, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Riverside, UCLA, Santa Cruz, Davis, or Berkeley), you are required to complete the UC Undergraduate Application.

All students interested in Degree Completion who did not attend UC Merced are required to complete the Degree Completion Interest Form and meet with our Reentry Advisor. Our Reentry Advisor will provide directions for accessing and completing the UC Undergraduate Application specifically for the Degree Completion Program.

Please note that filing periods for Degree Completion Program may vary from the current UC Undergraduate Application Filing Periods.
