Why This Program Exists

A Practical Step Forward—Without the Pressure of a Degree

Life happens. Many adults start college with the best intentions, then pause due to work, family, or financial demands. Returning to a full degree can feel overwhelming—or unrealistic right now.

This certificate scholarship program is designed as:

  • A low‑risk re‑entry point into education
  • A way to gain confidence, momentum, and marketable skills
  • An opportunity to finish something meaningful, even if a degree isn’t your current goal

No pressure. No long-term obligation. Just progress.

Now offering a limited time scholarship program to earn a certificate!

  • Covers all or a significant portion of tuition for an approved certificate
  • Available for first‑time enrollment in a certificate program
  • Can be used now, without committing to a degree program
  • One‑time award per student

Certificates Designed for Working Adults

Eligible Certificates and Courses are short, focused, and designed to build work skills you can use now.

Programs vary in length, format (online, hybrid, or in person), and start dates.

Programs Built for Your Life

Whether you're advancing in your current role or exploring something new, these certificates are built to fit into your busy adult life.

Is This Program Right for You?

Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible if you:

  • Started college but did not complete a degree
  • Are not currently or have not been enrolled within the last 2 years in a AA or BA degree program
  • Currently live in the Central Valley
  • Are interested in skill‑building rather than full degree commitment

  • Meet any certificate‑specific admission requirements

This opportunity is ideal for adults returning after a pause—not first‑time college students.

Why a Certificate and not a Degree?

Why start with a certificate?

  • Finite, achievable goal
  • Shorter time commitment
  • Career‑aligned skills
  • Builds confidence and academic momentum
  • Can often be applied toward a degree later (where applicable)

This is about progress, not pressure.

  2. Select an eligible certificate program
  3. Enroll in the approved program (you will receive an email to confirm approval)
